I work with driven athletes looking to optimize their mental skills and wellbeing. I believe that an emotionally healthy athlete will position themselves for optimum performance under pressure. As a former collegiate turned professional tennis player, I understands the unique challenges of each endeavor. I collaborate with athletes to identify unhelpful beliefs, destructive inner dialogue and habits that allow nervousness and anxiety to limit their performance. In addition to evidence-based psychotherapy approaches, I use guided imagery, relaxation techniques, CBT and exercises to enhance mental performance. I guide athletes clarify their motivations and detect the subtle differences between helpful performance analysis and destructive self-talk.
