This past week was super hectic. I was asked to play the Cryan Tennis Tournament by a friend a few days before the start. On a whim I signed up for the open singles and doubles (with Vasilisa Bardina). I ended up winning the whole tournament in both events. It was a fun week of running home from work, jumping on NJ transit and running to my tennis matches at Mercer County Park. It was really nice to play in front of the community I grew up in and to see some South Asians on court!
Was it fun? It was definitely nice to compete, run around and push my self physically. I am so out of tennis shape, its been 6 years since I last competed. However, I went through so many emotions playing my matches, so many memories, good and bad. I don’t really know what to make of all of them. I’m hoping to reflect on them a bit more.
