I am wearing a hijab today for Princeton University’s Muslim Students Association. They are hosting a Islam Awareness week. They borrowed the idea from our Sikh Awareness, Turban Tying Day.
My friends are wrapping hijabs on women to promote acceptance, tolerance and to stop stereotyping people who wear symbols of their faith. I love that the scarf is perfectly matching my outfit and my eyeshadow!Though I am not Muslim, wearing this headscarf, a symbol of the Islamic faith I ask you to love me.
